Mazoch & Libánský

Petr Mazoch and Jiří Libánský are united by the piano, by imagination and by a desire to let music speak freely. Between the walls of Prague apartments they feel their way along the boundaries of genres and of their own collaboration. Petr Mazoch is known for his introspective solo work and is a member of the newly formed project Yezerā (together with Arash Ghasemi), while Jiří has collaborated with a number of Czech artists (Aid Kid, Děti mezi reprákama, Bratři Orffové, Floex). Their joint improvisational project Mazoch & Libánský takes you into soundscapes where joy, drama and melancholy mingle against a backdrop of ambient and rhythmic textures. In 2024 they released Session SH01, a recording of an improvised set.
